how do you view life?

just another part of a bigger picture?

or are you the picture?

was on the bus with a co-worker from the slave factory... we talked about his psychology course that he was going through. something about some-cortex and the development of the brain. anyway, he told me that there are 2 types of people.

the kind that thinks everyone is out to get him (and so he hides in his closet rather than sleep on the bed). this kind has a narrower view, a much more skeptical and questioning mind. but don't you think life is just not worth living if you have to live in fear? not being able to trust anyone. not sharing your problems. being alone. i look at such people with disdain. why? simply because, they can never fully appreciate the full beauty of the world around them.

the second kind sees the goodness in everyone, he is able to look pass the mistakes that people make, the mis-givings, the kind that forgives and forgets. he sees beauty in everything, it may be subtle, even minute... but with a open heart and mind that such people possess, it gives them a fresh and always new perspective on life and living. this is the kind of person that wants to keep on living and loving every second of life. they know they are never alone, because of friends... of companions... of family.

seeing this kind of people always makes me happy. happy for the fact that it is through this that the human spirit will endure throughout rough and challenging times. happy that such people with the will-power and determination are living just as you and i am.
