finally managed to watch that korean movie... 200 Pound beauty.haha.. so much hype about it through friends and co-workers. they spoke of it as though it was the most miraclous thing they ever witnessed. but now that i've finally caught it. it ain't all that bad really. no wonder one of them commented "you'll love the soundtrack". they were damn right. her voice was great. her songs were beautiful.
but come to think of it. this show is really evil. i'll explain why.
1. it portrays the mentality that physical flaws can be corrected by surgery. this is ironic given the context in which the movie was created in. korea already has the highest amount of plastic surgery done in the world. and movies like this only seem to be flaunting that unhealthy title.
2. not very good for young impressionable teens who will now view plastic surgery as an okay thing to do. not exactly taboo when the lead actor embraces the fact that plastic surgery is okay and that relationships are based on looks alone.
well... enough of that. i've been hooked onto something far more addictive for me.
has anyone watched this j-drama "Engine"?
i think it's showing on Channel U too.
anyway... i think it's a wonderful show. so sweet. with just the right amount of comedy. i like this kinda drama. it appeals to me somehow. more than korean dramas that only have people crying. making up. crying. talking. crying again.
plus it's quite a 'feel-good' show. makes you feel so inspired after watching. alas.. i feel like a racer. LoL
ja mata ashita ne!
