i'm in a writing mood. it's times like this when i wish i was doing an essay or something more constructive so that all the creative juices don't go to waste on something as trivial as a blog. anyway, it's been a pretty sunny day... just chilling out... listening to my octopussy shower radio (which incidentally i have never put in the bathroom. it now hangs cutely off one of the knobs of my bedroom cupboards, supplying my room with the sweet sounds of Class 95)... typing out weird-ass emails... watching Yakitate!!Japan... if MC is heaven then ORD must be sheer ecstasy.

anyway, i think i should write about my wisdom teeth removal experience at AssHole. haha. come to think of it. it's pretty funny. ironic even. i was pretty freaked out by the notion of having someone cutting my gums and drilling off bits of bone before slicing the tooth in half and yanking it out. sounds pretty painful huh? that's the exact same ominous feeling i got when i was reading the damned pamphlet. so anyway, with the blessing of the consultation doctor, she recommended that i go remove 1 first, then subsequently the last 2. with no prior dental knowledge, i agreed without protest nor question.

the day of the operation dawned. i waited patiently at the clinic and waited for my turn. the screams from prior patients muffled by the padded walls of the wards, sending a dark chill down my spine. then one of the nurses called out my name. i marched to one of the designated rooms to measure my vitals as part of the pre-surgery preparations. i winched as she strapped me down on a leather chair and bound one of my hands with a vice-like cloth attached to a constantly beeping machine. as if to taunt me, the greater my anxiety, the faster the evil device sounded its shrill alarm. finally after the perilous ordeal, i was lead to the room marked 'dental surgery 1'. inside were already 3 assistants fully suited and ready. "lie down and shut up" i was told as she snatched my glasses from my face. pinned down on the aptly named 'death plank', i was both blinded and terrified. but all that adrenaline could not prepare me for that which was to come..

the dental surgeon waltzed into the room with a 2nd doctor in tow. "hello samuel" his mouth never opened, yet by some force of nature the low growl emerged barely audible. "this is dr irene, she's a doctor, but wishes to specialise" he continued emphasizing that word. "i will be teaching her while we operate on you, so you'll have a running commentary of sorts". he continued by probing my mouth and looking at my x-rays before saying "it looks like the one you are doing is rather deep. how about switching to the other 2 instead?" "sure doc, whatever you say" with those few words, i just doubled my pain. i could've flipped out if the needles he jabbed me with weren't already passing their drugs into my bloodstream. after that initial ordeal, he left me as his assistants took over. placing all the pain-inducing instruments on my chest and covering my face with a thick cloth with all but a hole for my mouth and nostrils.

he returned as soon as the assistants finished their placement work. probing and talking to the lady doctor. they seemed to have lots of Q & A while drilling and pulling at my teeth. soon, the high-pitched drone of the drilling jolted me from my sweet daydreams. i could have screamed, but 2 pairs of hands were in my mouth along with a number of pretty hazardous-looking apparatus. muted by fear, i let them continue. in a few more moments, i heard the sweetest words ever, "the tooth is out". i heaved a sigh of relief. a wave of relaxation coursing through my body as i slumped onto the plank...

and the rest? it's history.

P.S. all of it is writtened incredibly excessively.
the operation was really wacky but not as painful as i thought it would be. cool. really funny doctors though. the commentary was a really a weird feeling. haha.
